Experienced Test Manager for Major ERP Transformation Programme
We are seeking an experienced Test Manager to join a major ERP and business transformation programme within a leading organisation. This is an Outside IR35 contract opportunity for an experienced testing professional with a strong background in ERP, retail, eCommerce or complex business transformation programmes. The successful candidate will take ownership of the end-to-end testing lifecycle, ensuring the solution is thoroughly validated, business processes are fit for purpose and the programme is ready for a successful, low-risk go-live.
Responsibilities:
- Define and manage the overall test strategy, planning and governance.
- Coordinate testing across business and technical workstreams, including SIT, UAT, end-to-end and regression testing.
- Ensure appropriate scope, scenarios, environments, resources and timelines are in place.
- Act as the central point of coordination between business SMEs, technical teams, implementation partners and programme leadership.
- Lead defect and quality management, including defect triage, prioritisation, resolution and retesting.
- Provide clear reporting on testing progress, defect trends, risks and overall quality.
- Ensure programme leadership has full visibility of readiness and any residual risks.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure they are prepared and engaged throughout UAT and business process testing.
- Lead test readiness and go-live assurance, ensuring critical defects are resolved and testing is completed.
- Support cutover, go-live and hypercare activities, providing testing leadership and ensuring the solution is validated successfully following deployment.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Test Manager or Senior Test Lead on ERP, retail, eCommerce or business transformation programmes.
- Strong track record delivering SIT, UAT, end-to-end and regression testing.
- Experience of ERP implementations such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or similar platforms would be highly advantageous.
- Experience working across complex integrations and business processes.
- Retail or eCommerce experience is particularly desirable.
- Excellent planning, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive delivery through influence.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or equivalent.
- Strong defect management, reporting and governance capabilities.
