About the Job You're Considering

We work closely with clients and partners to take full advantage of the opportunities of technology. We mobilize expert teams that create custom solutions from existing and emerging technology to deliver viable outcomes at speed. We call this 'Value in the making.'

Part of the Capgemini Group, Sogeti makes business value through technology for organizations that need to implement innovation at speed and want a local partner with global scale. With a hands-on culture and close proximity to its clients, Sogeti is currently looking for a Test Manager to join our Quality Engineering and Test Practice, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving impactful value creation for our clients.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service).

Your Role

  • Manage and oversee test strategy, planning, governance, and delivery across multiple projects, programmes, or portfolios.
  • Establish and drive the overall quality assurance and testing approach, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivery outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and direction to Test Leads, Test Analysts, and Quality Engineering teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Accountable for end-to-end test delivery, including functional, integration, system, regression, performance, security, and user acceptance testing.
  • Define testing standards, frameworks, controls, and governance processes to ensure consistency and quality across delivery teams.
  • Own test budgets, resource planning, forecasting, and vendor management where applicable.
  • Manage programme-level test risks, issues, dependencies, and defect governance, providing clear visibility to senior stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain quality metrics, reporting frameworks, and executive-level dashboards to support informed decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation adoption, AI-enabled testing, process optimisation, and quality engineering transformation.
  • Collaborate with programme managers, architects, product owners, business analysts, and delivery leaders to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
  • Act as the senior testing authority, influencing stakeholders and providing assurance on delivery readiness and quality outcomes.
  • Champion best practices across Agile, DevOps, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery environments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
