Programme Test Manager

Contract: 6 months initially

Rate: £550-£630 per day

IR35: Outside IR35

Location: Hybrid - 2-3 days per week in either London or Cirencester

Overview

We are looking for two experienced Programme Test Managers to support a major transformation programme with a financial services company.

The client is undertaking significant changes to its data platform and operating model, including a major change to the way its staff are remunerated, creating a substantial programme of change across data, technology, and finance.

The Roles

One Test Manager will be specifically aligned to the Partner Remuneration transformation.

  • You will take ownership of the overall testing strategy and delivery.
  • Ensuring that the testing function is fully established.
  • Coordinating all testing activities effectively through to a successful go-live.

The second Test Manager will operate at a broader programme level rather than being dedicated to one specific project.

  • This role will work across multiple Test Managers and workstreams.
  • Providing oversight of testing activity, releases, and overall testing governance.

You should have:

  • Extensive experience with non-functional and performance testing.
  • Strong experience leading testing functions within large-scale transformation programmes.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing Test Strategies.
  • Experience managing testing through to go-live.
  • Strong understanding of testing governance, risk, and assurance.
  • Experience working within complex technology and data environments.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience with Jira or similar tools.
  • A pragmatic, delivery-focused approach with the ability to provide appropriate challenge and assurance.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including at programme and senior management level.
