Test Manager – BlackRock Aladdin Implementation | £800–£900 per day (Inside IR35) | London (Hybrid) | Initial 6 Month Contract | Wealth & Asset Management
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Test Manager / Test Lead to join a major global BlackRock Aladdin transformation programme within the Wealth & Asset Management sector.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a large-scale Aladdin implementation, taking ownership of testing delivery across UAT, Parallel Run and go-live readiness.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience delivering complex Aladdin programmes, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders, challenge delivery teams and ensure testing milestones are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end testing across a global BlackRock Aladdin implementation.
- Define and execute test strategies, plans, governance frameworks and exit criteria.
- Oversee UAT, Parallel Run, defect management and go-live readiness activities.
- Work closely with BlackRock teams, senior client stakeholders and programme delivery teams.
- Drive accountability, resolve testing challenges and maintain delivery momentum.
- Ensure testing aligns with business requirements, operational processes and programme milestones.
- Manage testing risks, dependencies, reporting and stakeholder communications.

Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Test Manager / Test Lead on BlackRock Aladdin implementation programmes.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Aladdin Enterprise – essential.
- Demonstrable experience leading UAT, Parallel Run and go-live readiness.
- Excellent understanding of test strategy, governance, defect management and test execution.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working directly with BlackRock and senior client teams.
- Experience delivering large-scale financial services transformation programmes.

Highly Desirable
- Experience with Aladdin Data Cloud (ADC), Aladdin eFront and/or Aladdin Accounting.
- Wealth & Asset Management industry experience.
- Knowledge of investment operations, IBOR/ABOR and accounting platforms.
- Exposure to data migration, reconciliation and operating model transformation.
