Test Manager
Location: London/Hybrid
Type: Contract - Day Rate - £580 P/D OUTSIDE OF IR35
Our client, a leading global Financial Services organisation, is seeking a highly experienced Test Manager.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading testing functions within large-scale banking transformation programmes, operating in highly regulated environments and managing stakeholders across global teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the programme-wide test strategy covering:
- End User Computing (EUC) platforms
- Migration and orchestration tooling
- Establish and govern testing standards, processes, and quality assurance frameworks.
- Define and manage test environment requirements across:
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Pre-Production environments
- Develop comprehensive test plans aligned to High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD).
- Lead and oversee all testing phases, including:
- Smoke Testing
- Integration Testing
- Performance Testing
- Security Testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Regression Testing
- Manage testing activities across multiple workstreams, vendors, and globally distributed teams.
- Provide regular reporting on test progress, defects, risks, and quality metrics to senior programme stakeholders.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with banking regulatory, security, and operational requirements.

Essential Experience
- Strong Banking and Financial Services experience is mandatory.
- 5+ years' experience as a Test Manager, QA Lead, or Senior Test Lead delivering large-scale transformation programmes within Banking or Financial Services.
- Proven experience leading testing across:
- End User Computing (EUC)
- Digital Workplace Transformation
- Enterprise Collaboration Platforms
- Workplace Modernisation programmes
- Extensive experience developing and executing enterprise-wide test strategies.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance frameworks, governance, and risk management within regulated banking environments.
- Hands-on experience with testing and delivery tools including:
- Jira / Xray
- Azure DevOps
- qTest
- ALM
- Zephyr
- Experience working within global banking organisations, managing stakeholders across multiple regions and time zones.
- Demonstrable experience supporting large-scale global End User Transformation programmes.

Highly Desirable
- Experience within Tier 1 Investment Banks, Retail Banks, or Global Financial Institutions.
- Exposure to large-scale migration and workplace modernisation programmes.
