The Program Test Manager in partnership with our SI partner will be responsible for the end to end test management of our global SAP transformation program. He/she will refine, own and deliver the program test strategy, and all testing deliverables, ensuring the overall testing approach is optimised and utilises leading practices to effectively test, de-risk and quality assure the global implementation. This critical role will require excellent stakeholder management skills, solid SAP test management experience, and experience of delivering multiple global, SAP transformation roll-out programs across a wide portfolio of the latest SAP Cloud products.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for all program testing activities and deliverables reporting into the Program Wave Delivery Director, working in partnership with the SI partner to;
• Refine, own and deliver the Optimus program test strategy, ensuring leading practices are utilised to make the most effective use of time and resource to optimise the outcomes
• Design the overall testing methodology and determine the appropriate test phases / cycles, identifying the objectives, approach, tooling, plan, resourcing and entry /exit criteria per phase
• Design and implement a robust regression test strategy that addresses the inherent regression risks of a multi-wave global roll-out, parallel BAU and program change tracks and regular SAP SaaS cloud mandatory product updates/releases
• Evaluate, select and implement appropriate test tools, utilising test automation where appropriate
• Produce and manage detailed, resource-levelled project plans covering all test phases
• Oversee and quality assure the successful delivery of test phases contractually owned by the SI e.g. Unit, System and SIT
• Lead the successful delivery of test phases contractually owned by TwO e.g. UAT, Regression, PSV (Performance, Stress and Volume) and OAT (Operational Acceptance Testing)
• Manage all testing activities in the end to end testing process, including strategy, planning, resource scheduling, scoping, preparation, execution, quality assessment, defect management and test phase exit/entry
• Evaluate, select and manage third party testing partners as appropriate to deliver the overall test strategy
• Work closely with Global and Local Program teams and other stakeholders to communicate the testing strategy and to scope test cases that cover both functional and non-functional requirements, and the full solution landscape including both SAP and interfaced 3rd party and legacy systems
• Support and mentor the internal and external teams in fulfilling their test related responsibilities, providing guidance and best practice where necessary
• QA/approve deliverables from internal teams, our SI partner and other external third parties
• Ensure all components of a solution are considered and aligned in the testing process including; functional and non-functional design, integration, infrastructure, security and service transition
• Lead the creation of project deliverables and complete key deliverables in accordance with the project plan timeline. Manage escalations necessary to ensure the program delivers to the right quality, and ensure senior management is aware of significant issues or opportunities
