Testing Manager

Contract: Outside IR35

Hybrid: High Wycombe

Technet IT has partnered with a global retail organisation to deliver a critical Oracle HCM Cloud transformation programme. We are seeking an experienced Testing Manager to lead end-to-end testing across a high-profile People systems migration. This is a 6-month contract (Outside IR35) with a hybrid working model across London (Battersea) and High Wycombe. This role requires strong delivery ownership in a time-critical environment.

The Role

You will take full accountability for testing strategy and execution across the Oracle HCM Cloud migration, covering both business unit and group-level workstreams. This includes ownership of all test phases (SIT, UAT, Parallel Payroll, Cutover), ensuring quality, governance, and readiness across payroll-critical processes, integrations, data, and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the end-to-end test strategy, approach, and delivery plan (SIT, UAT, regression, data validation, cutover)
  • Plan and manage test cycles, including environments, dependencies, and entry/exit criteria
  • Ensure environment and test data readiness across all phases
  • Coordinate test scenario design for People and payroll-critical processes
  • Lead defect triage, prioritisation, and resolution with vendors and internal teams
  • Own test reporting, quality metrics, and governance outputs
  • Provide clear readiness recommendations to support go/no-go decisions
  • Oversee data migration validation and reconciliation, ensuring formal sign-off
  • Lead cutover rehearsal testing and go-live assurance
  • Produce regular reporting on progress, defects, coverage, and risks

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
