Test Manager - Airline Domain (Digital & E-commerce)

Role Overview
Coforge is seeking an experienced Test Manager - Airline Domain to lead large-scale testing engagements for a global airline client in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience managing testing programs within the airline industry and should currently be working in an airline domain assignment.
The individual will be responsible for driving quality assurance strategy, managing onsite and offshore teams, engaging directly with client stakeholders, and ensuring successful delivery of complex digital and e-commerce transformation initiatives across airline platforms.
Mandatory Requirements
Domain Experience
- Minimum 7-8 years of core Airline Domain experience.
- Current assignment must be in the Airline Industry.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Passenger Service Systems (PSS)
- Airline Reservation Systems
- Departure Control Systems (DCS)
- Ticketing & Reservations
- Check-in & Boarding
- Loyalty Programs
- NDC / One Order ecosystem
Leadership Experience
- Must have managed 30+ team members across onsite and offshore delivery models.
- Proven experience leading Test Managers, Test Leads, QA Analysts, and Automation teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience.
Digital & E-Commerce Experience
- Hands-on experience testing:
- Airline Websites
- Mobile Applications (iOS & Android)
- Digital Commerce Platforms
- Booking Engines
- Customer Self-Service Portals
- Payment Gateway Integrations

Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Governance
- Define and implement comprehensive testing strategies for airline applications and digital platforms.
- Own test planning, scheduling, estimation, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Establish quality metrics, governance frameworks, and reporting mechanisms.
Test Delivery Management
- Lead end-to-end testing across multiple workstreams.
- Ensure successful validation of critical airline processes including:
- PNR Creation, Modification and Cancellation
- Reservations & Ticketing
- Re-issuance & Refunds
- Check-in & Boarding
- Load Control
- Ancillary Services
- Loyalty Programs
- NDC Offer & Order Management
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Act as the primary QA contact for business and client stakeholders.
- Conduct steering committee meetings and executive status reporting.
- Manage defect triage and drive resolution with development and business teams.
Team Management
- Lead distributed onsite and offshore testing teams.
- Manage team capacity, performance, and delivery objectives.
- Mentor Test Leads and QA professionals to drive high-performing teams.
Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for test automation and process optimization.
- Drive automation adoption across web, mobile, and API testing.
- Support Agile and DevOps delivery models.

- Experience working directly at the client side/customer location.
- Experience managing both onsite and offshore delivery teams.
- Strong exposure to Digital and E-commerce platforms.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a seasoned Airline QA Leader currently engaged within the airline industry, possessing deep expertise across airline reservation and departure control systems, digital commerce platforms, mobile applications, and API ecosystems. They should demonstrate strong client relationship management capabilities and a proven track record of managing large, globally distributed testing teams while delivering complex transformation programs for leading airlines.
