About Amber Labs

At Amber Labs, we are a people-first technology consultancy delivering secure, scalable digital solutions across the UK public sector. We work in close partnership with government organisations to deliver complex digital transformation programmes that improve public services for millions of users.

Our success is built on collaboration, technical excellence, and creating an environment where talented people can do their best work. Whether you're joining us permanently or on a fixed-term contract, you'll become part of a supportive team that values knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and delivering meaningful outcomes for our clients.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Test PMO to support the planning, governance, reporting, and coordination of testing activities across complex UK Central Government programmes.

Working alongside Test Managers, Delivery Managers, Project Managers and wider delivery teams, you will help ensure testing activities are effectively planned, tracked and reported, enabling successful delivery against programme milestones.

This role would suit someone with a strong understanding of software testing who enjoys coordinating multiple workstreams, producing high-quality reporting, managing risks and dependencies, and supporting effective governance throughout the testing lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and coordination of testing activities across multiple workstreams.
  • Maintain test schedules, milestones and reporting to ensure delivery remains on track.
  • Produce regular test status reports, dashboards and management information for stakeholders.
  • Track and manage testing risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies (RAID).
  • Coordinate testing activities with internal delivery teams and client stakeholders.
  • Support governance meetings by preparing documentation, actions and reporting.
  • Monitor test progress, defect metrics and quality indicators throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Ensure testing documentation is maintained and aligned with programme governance standards.
  • Work collaboratively with Test Managers, Test Leads, Business Analysts and Project Managers to support successful programme delivery.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing governance and reporting processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
