HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Own and drive the test strategy, framework and quality standards for client programme workstreams, ensuring every release meets Monument Technology’s testing standards before it reaches production.
• Lead day-to-day test planning, design and execution across functional, non-functional, regression and exploratory testing.
• Provide hands-on QA leadership, reviewing test coverage, triaging defects and unblocking the team on complex scenarios.
• Champion and expand test automation coverage, tooling and best practice across the team.
• Coordinate testing activity across third-party suppliers and internal teams to keep test cycles aligned to the delivery schedule.
• Own defect management for your workstream, tracking, prioritising and driving defects to resolution with engineering, and holding the line under go-live pressure.
• Maintain and report on test metrics such as coverage, defect density and pass/fail trends to give the programme visibility of quality health.
• Support entry and exit criteria assessment for test phases including SIT, UAT and Dress Rehearsal, flagging risks early, including on data migration workstreams.
• Line manage and mentor QA testers, building capability and consistency in ways of working, and continually improve testing efficiency, effectiveness and tooling across the team.

WE LOOK FOR PEOPLE WITH

• A strong background in Financial Services, Agile methodology, software testing and release processes is essential, with an excellent understanding of testing tools, technologies and processes, including industry best-practice automation tools and techniques.
• A proven track record building test functions across multiple concurrent projects and managing client engagements, including data migrations.
• Demonstrable adherence to change management, risk and control processes.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with a proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to hold the line with engineering when priorities clash.
• The ability to define test strategies and to enforce and evolve QA standards and best practices.
• Desirable: familiarity with cloud-native architectures and modern deployment methodologies; experience leading or mentoring a team of QA testers with genuine day-to-day ownership of their output and development; and a passion for staying current with testing best practice and digital and market trends.
