Role Description

The Test Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the London Area, United Kingdom. This position is responsible for planning, executing, and documenting tests for systems and processes that support ACCT UK’s operations, ensuring reliability and quality in line with organizational standards.

  • Developing test strategies and test plans
  • Performing test execution
  • Logging and tracking defects
  • Collaborating with project teams to resolve issues

The role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, defining acceptance criteria, and contributing to continuous improvement of quality assurance practices. The Test Specialist will also support the implementation of best practices for testing, reporting on test outcomes, and helping ensure that technology and tools used by staff and volunteers function effectively and consistently.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Test Management and Test Strategy, including planning, prioritizing, and coordinating testing activities.
  • Practical expertise in Testing and Test Execution, with experience designing test cases, running tests, and accurately documenting results.
  • Solid Quality Assurance skills, with the ability to identify defects, support root-cause analysis, and uphold quality standards and compliance.
  • Experience with software testing tools, issue tracking systems, and test documentation platforms is highly beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a structured approach to work.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in the charity, education, or youth development sectors, or an interest in supporting youth-focused initiatives, is an advantage.
  • Relevant qualifications in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in testing and quality assurance.
