Testing Lead

Location: London / Ipswich (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to £90,000 + Generous bonus

The Opportunity

A leading financial services organisation is entering an exciting new phase of growth, with a wave of technology hires supporting the next generation of its digital platforms and services.

We're looking for an experienced Testing Lead to take ownership of the quality strategy across a range of delivery projects. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys setting standards, developing people, and embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle - rather than simply overseeing testing at the end of a project.

You'll work closely with engineering, product, business analysis, and DevSecOps teams to ensure quality is built into everything that gets delivered.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own and evolve the organisation's overall testing strategy, standards, and approach.
  • Lead and coordinate testing across multiple delivery projects.
  • Manage and develop testers working across delivery teams, supporting performance and career growth.
  • Ensure test environments are ready and work closely with DevSecOps to resolve issues.
  • Partner with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product teams to ensure requirements are clear, testable, and built with quality in mind.
  • Monitor and report on testing performance, defects, risks, and release readiness.
  • Help shape the automation strategy, including the evaluation and adoption of appropriate tooling.
  • Lead root-cause analysis for significant defects and quality issues.
  • Champion a culture where quality is owned across the entire engineering and delivery lifecycle.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
