Job Title: Test Systems Team Leader
Location: Rochester, Onsite
Salary: Up to £65,000 depending on experience

Job Description:
As a Test Systems Team Leader, you will be applying a breadth of management knowledge to ensure design and development processes of test solutions or updates are maintained, resolving complex engineering issues and problems for a range of products such as displays, controls or mission computers.
Core duties:
- Understanding how to track and report on project cost and schedule using tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Managing the test equipment integration, analysis, and testing of real-time systems involving multiple technical disciplines (electronic, mechanical, optical, and software)
- Identifying, resolving and closing issues emerging from various product lifecycle stages in collaboration with lead engineers or team leads from other disciplines
- Providing realistic programme status updates in terms of progress, earned value or time, identifying potential problem areas or opportunities and implementing recovery or exploitation plans where approved
- Liaising with both internal and external stakeholders (managers, leads, customers and suppliers) to ensure requirements are captured and maintained effectively
- Coaching, mentoring and nurturing talent

Essential Skills:
- Experience working in an engineering environment and managing a multidisciplined engineering team (i.e. hardware, software and systems engineers)
- Extensive experience in engineering lifecycle
- Experience in stakeholder and subcontractor management and team development
- Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including customers, suppliers and sub-contractors
The Electronic Systems team:
As a Test Systems Team Leader, you will be working as part of a multi-disciplined, integrated project team developing innovative Test Equipment solutions using the latest technology, where we welcome new ideas and approaches and supporting the program, repairs and aftermarket service.
This role will provide you with a great opportunity to be part of a diverse and growing team, where ideas and development is encouraged, with opportunities to direct ladder or sidestep into other areas of the BAE Systems organisation. You will be managing the complete development lifecycle, within a challenging timescale, in order to support our customer requirements.
