Up to 2% annual bonus potential

Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week 7:00am - 3:00pm

New Opportunity - Test Technician

Due to continued growth, Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking to recruit a Test Technician to join our highly skilled Production team based in York, North Yorkshire. These positions have been created as a result of business expansion and offer an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a supportive and technically focused environment.

As a Test Technician, you will work independently and as part of a team, carrying out a range of testing and alignment activities on precision-engineered products to ensure they meet customer and quality specifications.

What You'll Be Doing

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Testing and aligning precision components and products using specifications, engineering drawings and work instructions.
  • Conducting a range of test activities, including fit-for-purpose testing, alignment, vibration testing and response-to-heat testing.
  • Making precise adjustments and modifications using microscopes, scalpels and other small hand tools.
  • Recording and analysing data from specialist test equipment and analysers.
  • Fault finding, investigating issues and supporting resolution activities while maintaining quality standards.
  • Completing production documentation and maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and team objectives.
  • Completing training and continuously developing your technical skills.

What We're Looking For

We are interested in candidates who enjoy practical, detailed and problem-solving work and who take pride in achieving high standards.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Experience working within procedures and following detailed instructions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • A patient, methodical approach to work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience within a manufacturing, production or engineering environment.
  • Experience using microscopes, analysers and precision hand tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and data.
  • Experience building circuit boards, assembling PCs, model making or similar practical hobbies/interests.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science or IT.
