Test Technician | Cambridge | £25,000 - £28,000 DOE
A specialist organisation within the medical device and pharmaceutical sector is looking for a Test Technician to join its growing Device Testing team.
This is a hands-on laboratory role supporting the testing and development of a wide range of medical and drug delivery devices. You will work alongside experienced engineers and scientists, gaining exposure to projects at various stages — from early-stage R&D through to formal product verification and post-market investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out practical mechanical and functional testing on medical and drug delivery devices.
- Support testing activities across a variety of projects and contribute towards key project milestones.
- Perform environmental conditioning, visual inspections and measurements including dimensions, weight and force.
- Assist with electronic testing and assembly, bespoke test rigs and pressurised systems where required.
- Handle chemicals, pharmaceutical formulations and other materials in accordance with appropriate safety procedures.
- Follow established SOPs, work instructions, test methods and protocols.
- Accurately record test results and produce reliable, high-quality test data.

About You
This role would suit someone with a scientific or technical background who enjoys practical, hands-on work and is looking to develop their experience within the medical device industry.
You'll ideally have:
- A-Level or equivalent in Maths.
- A qualification or demonstrable background in at least one scientific subject.
- Experience recording experimental or test data accurately.
- Previous experience working in a laboratory, testing or technical environment would be advantageous.

This is a full-time, laboratory-based position and requires the successful candidate to work on-site.
