This Rotherham-based electronics company is on the hunt for an experienced and professional individual to join their dynamic and friendly team, reporting to the Management Team.

Test Technician / Quality Assurance Leader

Rotherham, S66 8QY

Up to £17 per hour - Depending on Experience

Full-time, Permanent Role

Ideally Have O.N.C. / H.N.D in Electrical Engineering

Must Have Experience of Fault-Finding Product/Boards

Our client is a highly respected and professional Rotherham-based company that specialises in delivering electronics and engraving services to their large list of loyal clients. Having built up their solid and enviable reputation for almost 40 years, the company has been leading the way in the electronics industry since its formation in 1982. As such, an exciting new opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to take on a rewarding Test Technician & Quality Assurance Leader role with the company’s production team at their site in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. This role is 40 hours per week, with the additional benefit of flexi-time for the successful applicant.

The Role

As a Test Technician, your role will be to test and fault find product to meet customer delivery requirements. The Q.A role is to maintain and enhance an existing ISO9001 (2015) quality system in conjunction with an outside Quality Support Centre.

You will spend approximately 3 days a week in the role of Test Technician and 2 days on the Quality System.

You will be reporting to the Management Team to meet weekly production targets, whilst maintaining a high level of quality control.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong general IT skills are essential.
  • Qualifications in O.N.C/H.N.D in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent (desirable).
  • Practical, ‘hands-on’ experience of fault-finding product/boards to a component level.
  • Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, test specifications, drawings and procedures.
