Tester - Software Testing
Homebased | Security Clearance required
Help ensure high-quality software releases while supporting the rollout and continuous improvement of the SOE tool across training delivery units. You will work within Agile delivery teams, combining hands-on testing, defect management, user support and collaboration with technical and operational stakeholders.

Job Description:
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering manual, functional, regression and user acceptance testing (UAT) across software releases
- Creating and executing test cases, analysing results and maintaining traceability to requirements and user stories
- Identifying, documenting and tracking defects through to resolution using Jira, Azure DevOps or similar tools
- Supporting Agile delivery through sprint planning, reviews, release activities and quality assurance processes
- Collaborating with developers, analysts, stakeholders and users to improve software quality and user experience
- Supporting the SOE rollout through user guidance, feedback gathering, enhancement testing and adoption activities
- Contributing to continuous improvement and quality assurance best practice across delivery teams
What You'll Need
Essential
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade 6 or above, or an equivalent qualification
- Experience in software testing, quality assurance or application support
- Experience creating and executing test cases and managing software defects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- The ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance

Desirable
- ISTQB Foundation Certification or an equivalent software testing qualification
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and using Jira, Azure DevOps or similar tools
- Knowledge of regression testing, UAT, risk-based testing and test design techniques
- Experience supporting users through software implementation, training or process change
- Understanding of TAFMIS applications, planning processes or JPA
