Job Description

We don’t just believe in better. We make it happen.

Better content. Better products. And better careers.

Working in Tech, Product or Data at Sky is about building the next and the new. From broadband to broadcast, streaming to mobile, Sky Stream to Sky Glass, we never stand still. We optimise and innovate. We turn big ideas into the products, content and services millions of people love. And we do it all right here at Sky.

Role/Team overview

In Advertising Technology we’re looking for a Test Analyst to get hands on with the latest changes and developments in the products that shape ad delivery across Sky; from Sky Go to AdSmart, and all things in-between.

What you’ll do

  • Design and execute end-to-end tests for Ad Tech and media delivery solutions.
  • Work within a squad to clarify expected system behaviour by reviewing requirements and design documents for testability, and validate integrations between applications, players, advertising platforms and third-party systems.
  • Investigate issues using logs, network traces and debugging tools, analysing ad requests, ad responses and tracking behaviour.
  • Manage defects through investigation, triage and resolution with Engineering teams.
  • Support release readiness, production validation and go-live activities, reviewing Definition of Done with the squad.
  • Report on test execution, progress, and provide clear updates to Test Leads and stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

Essential criteria:

  • ISTQB Foundation certification.
  • Proven experience creating, maintaining and executing test cases, test packs and defects, demonstrating complete coverage of business and technical requirements.
  • Evidence of strong test analysis skills using APIs, JSON/XML, logs, network traces and debugging tools such as Charles Proxy.
  • Experience testing across multiple platforms, including mobile, web, streaming and connected TV devices.
  • Experience validating complex integrations between applications, with a track record of performing functional, integration, system, regression and end-to-end testing across platforms, third-party suppliers and backend services.
  • Experience using Jira and Zephyr or appropriate test management tools, and responsibility for multiple test workstreams in an Agile environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
