Testing Group Leader
Location: Charnwood, Loughborough
Hours: 37.5 hours Monday-Friday 10:00-16:00 core hours
Business Unit: Clinical Technologies

The Opportunity
As a Testing Group Leader you will assume functional supervisory responsibility for Software Testing Analysts and Senior Software Testing Analysts and will assist in identifying training and development needs. You will oversee resource scheduling, maintain and report project status, ensure that project test deliverables are completed to agreed timelines and quality standards, and manage issues escalated by team members.
- Implement and ensure compliance with formal software testing methodologies and best practices
- Identify, recommend, and implement Testing Department tool and process improvements
- Support team members in defining testing strategies and quality risk assessments
- Ensure corporate compliance with the testing phase of the Almac Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and testing team compliance with the SDLC as a whole
- Undertake the same project-specific roles and responsibilities as a Senior Software Testing Analyst, as required

What you need to be successful
The ideal candidate will have:
- A third level qualification in Computer Science or a related field, OR extensive relevant experience
- Extensive experience in change management tools such as Azure DevOps (ADOS) or TFS
- Solid background working on web-based, interactive voice response, and client-server projects
- Ability to evaluate and implement new tools and technologies
- Experience in testing randomisation schemas
- Knowledge of drug management
- Familiarity with industry regulatory requirements (GxP)

It is important for candidates to possess:
- Strong technical background in software and object-oriented systems development and testing
- Ability to apply this knowledge to designing test strategies and adoption of new test tools technology
- Knowledge of supply chain management
