About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader - Testing to join our testing team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team responsible for testing rail vehicles and ensuring that all activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards before trains are released into service.

You will play a key role in driving performance, supporting continuous improvement, developing team capability and ensuring production targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of Test Technicians within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ensure all testing activities are completed safely, efficiently and in line with quality standards.
• Carry out on-board testing and fault-finding on rail vehicles prior to release into service.
• Monitor team performance and ensure production targets and deadlines are achieved.
• Support troubleshooting and resolve technical issues in collaboration with Production and Engineering teams.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members to build capability and improve performance.
• Deliver team briefings, toolbox talks and support employee inductions.
• Promote a strong health and safety culture and ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, efficiency savings and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Ensure accurate completion of testing documentation, reports and records.
• Liaise with management to ensure appropriate resources, equipment and training are in place.
• Support competence assessments and ongoing development of team members.
