Job Title: Testing - Testing Lead
Location: Barrow-in-Furness. Primarily remote but occasional travel expected dependant on business needs.

Salary: circa £50,000 DOE

Job Description:
As a Testing Lead, you will take a senior role in assuring the quality and successful delivery of our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions and their integration with key engineering and enterprise systems, including CAD, FORAN and SAP. You will lead and coordinate software testing activities across complex, interconnected systems, helping to identify issues, improve quality and ensure solutions perform effectively from end to end.
Core duties:
- You will be working with stakeholders in IT and Engineering on a daily basis, guiding other Test Analysts, whilst also supporting a wide range of internal customers and developing relationships with them.
- As a Senior Software Test Analyst working mainly within a Scrum Team, you would be responsible for designing, executing, and reporting on test cases, as well as mentoring junior testers.
- Collaborating with the other members of the Team and the customer to ensure Acceptance Criteria are clear and understood.
- Defect identification, tracking, prioritisation, resolution, and reporting, collaborating closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- You will be managing the day to day test activities on a test phase under the guidance of Test Manager.

Essential Skills:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Skills in creation and manipulation of XML Data
- Sound knowledge in various testing methodologies and types, such as Agile, Scrum (highly desirable), V Model, Waterfall
- Experience in leading a small Test team on an Agile project
- Experience in the use of test tools, such as JIRA / Xray and Eggplant (Keysight) ideally for automation
The Solution Design Definition and Delivery (SDD&D) team:
This role offers a great opportunity to gain further exposure across the business and develop a professional testing approach. You will be able to bring your own experience and influence the development of this team and the adoption of best practice for testing across IT projects. We are also continuing to develop and enhance our Test Automation capability. You will be working with stakeholders in IT and Engineering on a daily basis, guiding other Test Analysts, whilst also supporting a wide range of internal customers and developing relationships with them.
We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
