TG1423837 Art Handling Technician

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Art Handling Technician to support the delivery of Tate's programme and make sure that standards are maintained for object packing, handling, movement, documentation, storage and display. The roles will be based at Tate's London sites, and other venues as necessary.

You will be focusing on the handling, movement, storage, packing and installation/de-installation of artworks at Tate. You will participate in the care of artworks and support Tate’s programme of exhibitions, displays, loans, acquisitions as well as other collections-based activities as necessary.

Your expertise will play a key part in liaising with colleagues in the Collection Care and Curatorial teams across the site and will establish the priorities to deliver the day-to-day programme of activities. The successful candidate will have previous experience of handling works of art and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
