TG703804 Accounts Assistant
Job Introduction
We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join Tate’s Finance Department on a permanent, full-time basis. This role will support the efficient and effective delivery of financial operations across Tate, its subsidiaries, and associated charities.
The Accounts Team plays an important role in ensuring that financial transactions are processed accurately, suppliers and customers are supported, and financial records are maintained to a high standard. Working across accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, and general finance administration, this role helps support the wider Finance function, including month-end processes, audit, financial control, and reporting.
You will bring good numerical skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent organization skills. You will be confident working to deadlines, able to communicate clearly with colleagues and suppliers, and committed to delivering a high level of customer service. Previous experience in an administrative support role is essential, and experience of accounts processing or working in a computerized finance environment would be beneficial.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
