The Clockspire, originally built by Sir William Medlycott in 1864 as a school, has been brought back to its former glory, creating a warm and welcoming restaurant. Set by the quaint Somerset village of Milborne Port, the restaurant offers a memorable experience from a spectacular view by the large windows and lofted ceilings with statement chandeliers to seasonal and locally foraged exceptional dishes along with carefully selected wines.

Job Description
We are looking for individuals that want to join and assist our kitchen team to maintain the cleaning and washing with the BOH areas and support the chefs in developing a safe place to work.
- Rate Per Hour: Up to £13.00
- Employment Type: Permanent
- Hours Per Week: 0
Responsibilities
- Dishwashing – Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment either by hand or using industrial dishwashers
- Kitchen Cleanliness – Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas. Empty rubbish bins and ensure proper disposal of waste materials
- Food Preparation – Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients
- Inventory Management – Assist in receiving, storing, and organising kitchen supplies and ingredients
- Compliance with Health and Safety – Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen ensuring equipment is in good working order

Qualifications

- No formal education is required, but a high school diploma or equivalent may be preferred
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
- Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation practices is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Hands-on and proactive approach
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Excellent time management
