PMS Papiermaschinen-Systemtechnik GmbH, a member of the IBS Paper Performance Group, is introducing a new era in edge trimming on the paper machine. The SuperTrim Full-Motion relies on intelligent automation, maximum precision, and the highest level of safety. The latest generation of edge trimming systems features fully digital control: angle, position, and jet alignment can be adjusted automatically with exact reproducibility. Thanks to optimized jet technology, the fibers at the paper edge are cut extremely cleanly, which significantly improves edge quality. Operation is extremely user-friendly and can be performed via a touchscreen, DCS connection, or remote control (wireless or wired). Thanks to its excellent price-performance ratio and low operating and maintenance costs, the system offers users maximum cost savings and reliability in edge trimming.
With SuperTrim edge trimming systems, PMS already has a track record of significantly increasing machine efficiency for many manufacturers. This innovative solution reduces web breaks associated with edge trimming by up to 85%. This leads to a significant increase in production volume as well as substantial cost savings. The return on investment (ROI) for such optimization projects is achieved within just a few months. The vast majority of high-performance paper machines worldwide are equipped with SuperTrim edge trimming systems.
