What you'll do
As The Promenade's Supervisor, you'll enjoy your work and take pride in delighting our guests:
- You will be responsible for guiding, training and developing the Waiters and Head Waiters during their day. This will include preparing development plans and supporting them in their daily tasks in order to ensure our guests receives the ultimate experience
- You’ll be confident in duties such as opening/closing the restaurant, cashing up, carrying out stocktake, ordering, reporting and supporting the Restaurant Manager with some administration tasks, upselling and achieving the goals of the department
- You’ll also show flexibility and creativity in dealing with guests’ special requests or any challenges that may arise during the day.
- Assisting Waiters and Head Waiters in order to deliver smooth service and fulfil guest need efficiently.
- Accommodating special requests with flexibility and professionalism and ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.
- Tackling challenges that arise during the shift with a problem-solving mind-set and a positive attitude.
- Carrying out and completing daily tasks in a timely manner.

The items shared are the essence of a day in the life of The Promenade's Supervisor, but we’ll make sure you are provided with specifics on how we care for our hotel.
The operational hours of work are shift-based and may be subjected to change. These currently set as:
- Monday to Saturday: 06:30 - 01:15
- Sunday: 07:00 - 01:15
What You’ll Bring
Essential Skills & Experiences
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory position and working in high-quality restaurants or hotels
- Strong knowledge of dining service standards and menu navigation (training will be provided where necessary)
- The ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to details and delivering exceptional service
- A positive and collaborative attitude, thriving in a team environment
- The ability to handle and prioritise tasks including food and beverage serving timings are kept to the standard
