The Shared Plate
The Shared Plate is an ethical catering company and workshop provider serving seasonal feasts across South Wales.
The Shared Plate currently have opportunities for Freelance Community Cooking Facilitators and Freelance Catering Chefs or a combination of both.
The roles offer flexible, sessional opportunities across their community programmes and ethical catering work, with opportunities for people to contribute to both areas where they have the relevant experience.
Freelance Community Cooking Facilitator
- Hours: Flexible sessional work, including some after-school, evening and weekend delivery
- Salary: Competitive hourly or sessional rate based on experience and responsibility
- Requirements: A Full Driving Licence Is Required For This Role

You have experience of cooking and holding groups. You might have worked with children, teenagers, people with additional learning needs, adults or older people.
Freelance Catering Chef
- Location: Prep kitchen in Swansea and event venues across the surrounding area
- Hours: Freelance event work, with evenings and weekends forming a significant part of availability
- Salary: £14-£20 per hr according to experience and level of responsibility
The Shared Plate is looking for talented freelance chefs (from experienced Chef de Partie to Sous Chef and Head Chef level) to join their growing catering team across weddings, celebrations, markets and workplace events.
You are an organised, adaptable cook who cares about flavour, presentation and sourcing, and who can deliver beautiful food when the pace picks up.
