Northumbria NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity for you to work full time, within our orthopaedic scrub team.
About the Role
The theatre department has state-of-the-art facilities across the Trust.
Facilities
- Twenty seven Adult and Obstetrics theatres
- Covering a diverse range of both elective and emergency work in a variety of specialties including General Surgery, Robotics, Trauma and Orthopaedics and Obstetrics.
- Position at Theatres at North Tyneside General hospital.
Responsibilities
- Delivering excellent standards of care and providing patient support for Elective Orthopaedic and trauma surgery.
- Advocating on behalf of the dependent patient.
- Undertaking the Scrub practitioner role, ensuring a safe environment and practice is maintained.
- Working with, and supporting other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
- Preparation and monitoring of the environment of care and equipment.
- Supervising junior colleagues, unregistered staff, and students.
