Theatre Nurse / Theatre Practitioner
Pay: £300-£350 per day, depending on the role and assignment
Contract Type: Temporary
Shift Pattern: Weekend theatre lists, ad hoc shifts and block bookings
Location: Central Scotland, North East Scotland and other parts of the UK.

ID Medical is seeking experienced Nurses and Practitioners to support NHS sites across Scotland and the UK. These roles are part of our theatre insourcing services, providing vital support to clinicians and patients in busy, fast-paced healthcare environments.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a committed clinical team, delivering high-quality care to patients and ensuring smooth clinic operations.

- Scrub Nurses/Practitioners
- Anaesthetic Nurses/Operating Department Practitioners
- Recovery Nurses/Practitioners
- Day Surgery ward Nurses

Professionals with experience across specialties including Gynaecology, General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology and Orthopaedics
What You’ll Need:
- Current NMC or HCPC registration
- Speciality – Gynae/General Surgery/ ENT/ Ophthalmology/ Ortho
- Recent UK theatre experience within scrub, anaesthetics and/or recovery
- Relevant and up-to-date clinical competencies
- The ability to work confidently and safely within the practitioner’s scope of practice
- Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting the safe and efficient running of operating theatres
- Preparing theatres, equipment and clinical areas before and between procedures
- Assisting the theatre team throughout surgical lists
- Supporting infection prevention, patient safety and effective theatre flow
- Undertaking scrub, anaesthetic or recovery duties within the practitioner’s assessed competencies
- Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary theatre team
- Completing all required documentation and following local policies and clinical procedures
