Day Case Theatre & Recovery Dept

Band 5 - Permanent (15 hours)

Are you a skilled and motivated Theatre Scrub Practitioner looking to join our dynamic and patient-focused peri-operative team within Theatre, working in Day Surgery Theatre, where you will provide high-quality scrub support across a range of surgical specialities, prepare theatres, manage instruments and equipment, maintain aseptic technique, support smooth theatre list flow, and contribute to excellent patient outcomes within a supportive and forward-thinking department committed to outstanding care?

Some Duties Include

  • Deliver a high standard of patient care, ensuring all procedures and treatments comply with Trust policies and clinical guidelines.
  • Organise day-to-day activities within the designated area as directed by the Specialty Manager/Team Leader, appropriate to competence and skill level.
  • Take charge of theatre sessions as required.
  • Liaise effectively with medical staff, senior nursing staff and other departments to support the smooth running of services.
  • Ensure staff are informed of any changes to procedures, lists or working practices.
  • Supervise and support learners and junior staff, providing guidance appropriate to their competency level.
  • Provide clear and timely information to patients, relatives, ward staff and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately.
  • Check, administer and control drugs in accordance with Trust policy and legal requirements.
