Theatre Practitioner (ODP/RN)
We are currently looking to recruit an Theatre Practitioner (ODP/RN) (Must be UK recognised qualification) to join us as part of our friendly and enthusiastic Day Surgery theatre team.
Specialties Covered
We cover a wide range of specialties including:
- Oral
- ENT
- Gynaecological
- Urological
- Orthopaedic
- Ophthalmic
- General surgery
- Bronchoscopy
- Pain service
About the Role

Requirements
You will need to be:
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic
- Preferably have experience in a day surgery theatre environment
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Forward thinking and well organised
- Positive attitude towards flexibility and change
Applicants must be a Registered Nurse (or returning via a recognised Return to Practice programme leading to NMC RN registration) or an Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC registered).
This post can only be offered as a developmental opportunity to support Nurses returning to Band 5 practice.

Responsibilities
You will work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team providing assistance and service in all aspects of the Operating Department. On occasions work in other areas of the Trust will be required such as Main Theatre, A&E, Endoscopy, Delivery Suite, and X-Ray.
- Maintain good communication and enhance effective working relationships throughout the department
- Interpret and respond appropriately to direction from other members of the multidisciplinary team
- Ensure that records of patient care, drugs, specimens, and implants are accurately and fully maintained and ensure effective transfer of information
