As our Theatre Practitioner - Orthopaedics, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality perioperative care throughout the patient's surgical journey. Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary theatre team, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care while supporting the safe and efficient delivery of orthopaedic surgical services. Utilising your expertise in Scrub, Anaesthetics or Recovery, you will maintain the highest standards of patient safety, infection prevention and clinical governance, while contributing to service development through audit, education, mentorship and continuous quality improvement.

Essential

• Professional qualification in Nursing or Operating Department Practice
• Current professional registration with the HCPC or NMC
• Experience working within the Operating Department and demonstrable competency in chosen theatre discipline.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong clinical judgement and decision-making
• Good organisational and prioritisation skills
• Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
• Accurate record keeping and IT skills
• Knowledge of clinical governance and infection control
• Ability to support and mentor colleagues
