Every surgical procedure depends on a theatre team working together with skill, trust, and precision. At The Princess Grace Hospital, you'll join colleagues who are committed to delivering exceptional care in one of London's most advanced theatre environments. Our theatres are equipped with leading technology, including a hybrid theatre, a dedicated robotic surgery suite, and laminar flow theatres designed for complex orthopaedic procedures. Working alongside highly experienced surgeons, anaesthetists, and theatre colleagues, you'll be part of a collaborative team where expertise is valued, innovation is part of everyday practice, and professional development is actively supported.
As a Theatre Practitioner – Scrub within our Theatres team, you'll play an important role in delivering safe, high-quality care across a wide range of surgical specialties. No two days are the same. You'll support complex and varied procedures, work with advanced surgical technology, and contribute to outstanding patient experiences throughout the perioperative journey. Surrounded by knowledgeable and supportive colleagues, you'll have the opportunity to further develop your clinical expertise while gaining exposure to innovative techniques and specialist procedures in a well-equipped and forward-thinking environment.

- Provide skilled scrub support across a variety of surgical procedures while maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice.
- Prepare operating theatres, surgical instruments, and equipment to ensure procedures can be delivered safely and efficiently.
- Support patients throughout their perioperative journey, ensuring their safety, dignity, and comfort at every stage.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver smooth and effective theatre lists.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to all theatre policies, infection prevention measures, and patient safety standards.
What you'll bring:
- Registration as a Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with the NMC or HCPC.
- Previous experience working as a Scrub Practitioner within a theatre environment.
- Strong knowledge of perioperative practice and patient safety principles.
- The flexibility to work across a range of surgical specialties within the theatre setting.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within multidisciplinary teams.
