Role Description
The Theatre Staff Nurse is a full-time, on-site role based at our clinic near Manchester, supporting surgical procedures and perioperative care. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Preparing operating theatres
- Checking equipment and supplies
- Ensuring adherence to infection prevention and control standards
- Assisting the surgical team during procedures
- Monitoring patients before, during, and after surgery
- Documenting all care in line with clinic policies and regulatory requirements

The role involves coordinating with surgeons, anesthetists, and recovery staff to promote safe patient flow, supporting patient and family education, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the theatre and wider clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse qualification (NMC registration) with theatre or perioperative experience in surgery or procedural care.
- Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, monitoring, infection control, and safe medication administration.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, maintaining clear communication with surgeons, anesthetists, and clinic staff.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and high standards of clinical documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to remain calm in fast-paced theatre environments.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development, training, and quality improvement activities.
