We Make Health Happen
At Bupa Cromwell Hospital, our purpose is simple: helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world. As a Theatre Supplies Assistant, you'll play a vital role behind the scenes, ensuring our clinical teams have the stock, supplies and equipment they need to deliver exceptional patient care.
Working within our Supply Chain team, you'll help maintain efficient stock management processes across our Theatre and Angio departments, ensuring products are received, stored and distributed accurately and efficiently. Your contribution will directly support the smooth running of hospital services and positive patient outcomes.
How You'll Help Us Make Health Happen
As a Theatre Supplies Assistant, you'll be responsible for supporting the effective management of theatre inventory and stock supplies across the hospital.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and checking all incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Promptly receipting goods within inventory management systems to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Identifying, investigating and escalating delivery discrepancies to suppliers and the Inventory Team.
- Supporting the resolution of invoice and delivery matching exceptions, helping identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Safely receiving, processing and distributing stock and non-stock items across Theatre and Angio departments.
- Processing departmental stock orders and ensuring timely replenishment of supplies.
- Conducting regular stock checks, cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Maintaining accurate stock locations and ensuring products are correctly stored and identifiable.
- Following stock rotation procedures (FIFO) to minimise waste and reduce expiry risks.
- Managing returns for damaged, faulty or incorrectly supplied items.
- Identifying slow-moving or obsolete stock and reporting findings to the Inventory Manager.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and suppliers to ensure efficient stock management operations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
