Theatre Team Leader Band 6 - Full Time (Permanent)
The Theatre Team Leader will provide strong clinical and operational leadership within the Emergency Theatre environment, supporting vascular and gynaecology services. The post holder will be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with significant theatre experience and the ability to lead within a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.
The role is pivotal in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of patient-centred perioperative care, maintaining high professional standards while supporting and developing the multidisciplinary team.
Some Of The Duties Include
- Provide effective clinical and operational leadership to staff during each shift.
- Support the Specialty Manager, Theatre Manager and Matron for Theatres, Anaesthetics, Critical Care and Pain in the development and delivery of services, with specific responsibility for Emergency, Obstetrics and Vascular theatres.
- Coordinate perioperative activity with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective theatre flow and continuity of patient care, including out-of-hours provision.
- Act as a professional role model, promoting AfPP values, a positive safety culture and effective communication.
- Promote human factors awareness, situational awareness and professional challenge within the perioperative environment.
