As a Band 6 Therapeutic Radiographer, you'll play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality radiotherapy treatment using advanced techniques like SABR, VMAT, DIBH, TBI, and SRS. You'll work with an experienced team in a friendly environment where your development and well-being matter.

Our department is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including Varian Halcyons, Varian TrueBeams incl. 6DoF, RGSC, and SRS capability, Siemens CT GoSims, and HDR all networked by ARIA. We are a multi-site centre with satellites in Swindon & Milton Keynes - 3 sites, 1 team!

Main duties of the job
- Work as a senior member of the team of Radiographers covering all sections of the department including mould room, CT scanning, virtual simulation and contouring, delivery of a wide range of both simple & complex treatment and IGRT techniques.
- Support the team leader in the day-to-day management of their assigned pre-treatment or treatment work area, assisting in the organisation and management of the clinical workload.
- Liaising with the multidisciplinary team.
- Assist with the day-to-day organisation of a treatment unit to ensure an efficient service is delivered and workload targets are achieved.
- Supervise, support & teach junior members of staff and students.

Person Specification
Essential & Desireable
Essential
- BSc (Hon) in Radiotherapy.
- HCPC registered as Therapeutic Radiographer
- Core knowledge of a range of radiotherapy equipment and techniques
- A general understanding of computerised treatment planning systems.
- Post registration experience of working as a Therapeutic Radiographer with rotations through pre-treatment and treatment during that period
- Current relevant experience
- Experience and knowledge of all IGRT modalities
Desirable
- Evidence of post graduate study
- Previous NHS experience
- Previous senior experience
- Experience of advanced techniques e.g., SABR, SRS, DIBH, TBI, Adaptive RT
- Evaluation of CBCT images
- Experience of mentoring/training student radiographers
