As a Band 7 Therapeutic Radiographer, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality radiotherapy treatment using advanced techniques like SABR, VMAT, and DIBH. You’ll work with an experienced team in a friendly, welcoming environment where your development and well-being matter.

About the Centre
The purpose-built, modern radiotherapy centre is equipped with cutting-edge technology including Varian TrueBeams (with 6DoF & RGSC) and a Siemens CT GoSim networked by ARIA. We are a multi-site service with centres in Oxford, Milton Keynes, and here in Swindon – three sites, one team!

Responsibilities
- To be primarily responsible for leading and managing a team of radiographers (3-4 staff) and coordinating the day-to-day clinical operations either of the CT scanner or designated treatment machine in accordance with the policies of the department and trust.
- Manage a caseload of patients, ensuring patients have accurate and consistent planning and treatment.
- The post holder will work on a rotational basis through both pre-treatment and treatment.
- Liaise with other disciplines to monitor and improve service.
- Support and train members of the team to maintain and develop professional and personal skills and standards.
- Assist the Pre-Treatment and Treatment Lead Radiographers and Radiotherapy Satellite Operational Manager in the implementation of change within the radiotherapy service.
- Provide expert advice on pre-treatment/treatment procedures and treatment-related side effects and their management to patients and their carers.
- To liaise with other disciplines to ensure total coverage in all aspects of patient care.
