Salary
From £14.45 per hour
PLUS an additional £62.64 per sleep in
£3k - £6k per annum for sleep ins.
Hours
Full-time, 39 hours per week
Working a rolling shift pattern which includes long days and additional sleep ins.
About the Role
We are looking for a children's support worker to become part of our loving, fun and busy family home, supporting young people aged 5 - 18.
- Give encouragement and praise when needed
- Be patient and understanding during times of crisis
- Inspire them to grow and develop

What You Need
- Passionate about supporting children to lead happy lives
- Great communication skills, positive, playful, and energetic
- Experience in working with children in care or transferable skills such as children's nursery, adult supported living, challenging behaviours, education, sports, or working with vulnerable people is beneficial
- Ability to remain calm during sometimes challenging situations
- Full UK Driving licence is beneficial
- Ability to work flexibly, including shifts and sleep-ins

What the Job Involves
- Be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for children, led and supported by a registered manager
- Act as a professional parent, to give encouragement and praise
- Enjoy fun days out such as fishing, ice skating, bowling, and trampolining, and revisit missed milestones
- Provide emotional and physical support to allow the children to reach their full potential in sometimes challenging situations
- Build friendships and trusting relationships
- Help them to find pleasure in everyday tasks
- Empower them to make decisions about themselves
- Ensure a safe home environment, including cleaning, laundry, and cooking
