Role Overview

The post holder will be a member of the Therapies Assistant & Administration Team to ensure an efficient service is provided for adult patients and their carers attending clinics. They will also provide assistant cover to various therapies classes.

The Therapies department is split between three different sites within Dorchester, Weymouth and Charlton Down. They provide clinical appointments, as well as different classes and gym groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the team to ensure the delivery of a high quality service.
  • Utilize good secretarial, clerical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Serve as a polite and helpful first point of contact for patients, staff, and visitors to the Therapies Department at Weymouth Community Hospital and the Outpatient Therapies Centre in Charlton Down.
  • Make patient appointments.
  • Deal with enquiries from patients, staff, and visitors including by telephone, email, and face to face.
  • Accurately send and receive electronic data using hospital systems such as PAS and DPR.
