Role Description

The Thermal Blanket Pitched Roof Insulation Installer is a full-time, on-site role based in Northeast, WV. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Installing thermal blanket insulation on pitched roofs in residential and small commercial properties
  • Preparing work areas
  • Ensuring correct measurement, cutting, and fitting of insulation materials
  • Using hand and power tools safely
  • Following installation specifications and building codes
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment

  • Identify potential issues such as moisture or ventilation problems
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors, colleagues, and customers
  • Load and unload materials
  • Work at height with appropriate safety equipment
  • Complete job documentation
  • Adhere to company health and safety procedures

Qualifications

  • Practical skills in construction or insulation installation, including measuring, cutting, and fitting materials, and safe use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work safely at height on ladders, scaffolding, and pitched roofs, with strong awareness of health and safety practices.
  • Basic understanding of building performance concepts such as thermal efficiency, ventilation, and moisture control.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to follow technical instructions and installation specifications.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills, with a professional, customer-focused approach on-site.
  • Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to lift, carry, and handle insulation materials and equipment.
  • Full, valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in Northeast, WV and surrounding areas.
  • Previous experience in roofing, insulation, or general construction is preferred but not essential; relevant training or certifications in construction or health and safety are an advantage.
