Data Centre Thermal Optimisation Engineer | AI | Global Travel

Up to £60,000 salary
Hybrid / Home-based when not travelling
UK or Europe based | UK, US & international travel

Are you a Mechanical Engineer with Data Centre or Critical Cooling experience looking to work with AI-driven technology?

This is an opportunity to join a growing technology business specialising in thermal optimisation for critical environments and data centres, working across multiple projects and locations globally.

This is a technical engineering role combining mechanical expertise, thermal optimisation, customer engagement, and international project delivery.

Skills

  • Qualified Mechanical Engineer
  • 5+ years' mechanical engineering experience
  • Experience with critical room air conditioning or cooling — essential
  • Strong industrial cooling experience also considered
  • Comfortable working with software and technology
  • Genuine willingness and ability to travel internationally
  • Chartered Engineer status desirable but not essential

Strong differentiators

  • Experience within Data Centres
  • Experience with EcoSense or similar optimisation platforms
  • Critical cooling / CRAH / cooling system experience
  • Experience working with AI-driven or software-based optimisation
  • Industrial cooling background
  • Experience delivering projects across multiple sites
  • European-based candidates, particularly Germany

Important: Domestic HVAC experience alone is not suitable. The key requirement is genuine experience with critical room air conditioning, cooling, or similar industrial environments.
