At Dicky Birds Nursery on Pelham Road, we are looking for a passionate and motivated Third in Charge to join our team and support the smooth running of our nursery.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys leading by example, supporting colleagues and delivering high-quality care and education in a warm, nurturing environment.
What will you be doing?
- Supporting the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery.
- Leading, motivating and supporting the team to deliver outstanding childcare.
- Ensuring children receive high-quality care and learning experiences.
- Supporting planning and delivery of engaging activities in line with the EYFS.
- Building positive relationships with parents and carers.
- Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are followed.
- Supporting staff development, mentoring colleagues and maintaining high standards throughout the nursery.

What are we looking for?
- A relevant Level 3 childcare qualification or above.
- Experience working in an early years setting.
- Previous leadership experience, ideally as a Room Leader or Deputy Manager.
- A good understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.
- Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.
- A positive, proactive approach and a genuine passion for early years education.
