• Deliver an outstanding EYFS Curriculum – Implement and monitor an effective educational framework that reflects the EYFS, ensuring all children have access to rich, varied and purposeful learning experiences that inspire curiosity and support their individual development.
• Lead children's learning journeys – Take lead responsibility for the planning, observation, assessment and tracking of children's development using our nursery management system, ensuring records are meaningful, up to date and include two-year progress checks and SEND documentation where required.
• Be a trusted Key Person – Act as the key person for a designated group of children, building strong, nurturing relationships that promote confidence, wellbeing and personalised learning for every child.
• Champion inclusive practice – Promote an inclusive environment where every child can thrive, ensuring individual needs are identified early and met through timely interventions, appropriate adaptations and effective partnership working with families and professionals.

• Keep everyone safe – Ensure high standards of hygiene, food safety and site security are maintained at all times, creating a safe and welcoming environment for children, families and colleagues.
• Stay one step ahead – Carry out regular risk assessments and ensure outings, fire bags and first aid kits are checked, maintained and replenished in line with nursery procedures.
• Be ready for anything – Understand and confidently follow all emergency procedures, including Code Red, Code Purple, Fire Evacuation and Lockdown procedures.
• Champion Safeguarding – Ensure full adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures, acting as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) when required, while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of local safeguarding guidance.

📋 Organisation & Administration

• Stay organised – Complete daily and weekly checklists, trackers and planning documents accurately and on time to keep the nursery running smoothly.
• Keep records up to date – Monitor and update children's and staff profiles on our nursery management system, ensuring information is accurate and compliant.
• Drive quality – Carry out and document Peer Observations of Practice (POPs), learning walks and quality audits, using these to celebrate strengths and continually improve practice.
• Plan inspiring experiences – Organise weekly activities, learning intentions and parent communications that reflect children's interests and next steps in learning.
• Keep the day running smoothly – Manage everyday responsibilities including registers, snack menus, self-registration boards and other essential room administration.
