Experienced Third Party Assurance Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Third Party Assurance Manager to join their Risk Advisory team. This role offers the opportunity to lead a portfolio of assurance engagements, working with a diverse range of clients to provide independent assurance over controls, governance, and risk frameworks. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality engagements, developing client relationships, supporting junior team members, and contributing to the continued growth of the service line.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Third Party Assurance engagements, ensuring delivery to agreed quality standards, budgets, and deadlines.
- Plan and execute assurance engagements under recognised standards, including ISAE 3000 and ISAE 3402, from scoping through to final reporting.
- Manage a portfolio of client engagements, acting as the primary day-to-day contact for key stakeholders.
- Apply professional judgement to ensure assurance work is risk-based, proportionate, and aligned with relevant methodologies and standards.
- Review working papers, assurance reports, and client deliverables to ensure technical accuracy and quality.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing a high standard of service and commercial awareness.
- Manage engagement economics, including budgets, work in progress, and overall project profitability.
- Coach, mentor, and support the development of junior team members.
- Contribute to business development activities, including proposals, presentations, and identifying additional client opportunities.
- Support senior leadership in the development and growth of the Third Party Assurance offering.

Skills & Experience
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Strong experience delivering Third Party Assurance, controls assurance, or related risk advisory engagements.
- Good knowledge of recognised assurance standards, including ISAE 3000 and ISAE 3402.
- Understanding of controls design, operating effectiveness testing, and assurance reporting.
- Experience working with complex organisations, including regulated, listed, or not-for-profit entities.
- Strong stakeholder management and client relationship skills.
- Proven experience managing engagements, budgets, and project delivery.
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing team members.
- Well-organised, commercially aware, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience with technology-enabled assurance or AI testing tools would be advantageous.
