Third Party Engagement Manager USL

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the Unsecured Lending team on secondment as a Third Party Engagement Manager USL. The role sits within Unsecured Lending in Retail Banking and Wealth (RBW). As a first-line Third Party Engagement Manager, you will support the business in meeting regulatory expectations and managing third-party relationships in line with the Group Third Party Risk Management Framework. You’ll work collaboratively with Product and Proposition teams across HSBC, first direct and M&S Bank, partnering with colleagues in Digital, Marketing, Credit Risk, Operations, Transformation, IT, Legal, Compliance and relevant Risk teams. Your work will help ensure third-party arrangements are well governed, resilient and aligned with the needs of our customers and the business.
In this role you will:
- Manage assigned external and internal third-party relationships in line with the Group Third Party Risk Management Framework, relevant policies, standards and controls.
- Work with third-party providers and Product Managers across brands to manage costs and service performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, value and customer outcomes across services and channels.
- Complete and maintain required third-party risk activities, governance records, management information, issue logs and action tracking accurately and on time.
- Work with second-line Risk Stewards and Specialists to interpret and apply policy and control requirements, providing constructive challenge where needed.
- Analyse performance and risk insights to identify emerging issues and opportunities, promote customer-centric solutions, and support appropriate outcomes across HSBC UK, first direct and M&S Bank.
- Lead or support incident, issue and remediation activity, ensuring clear ownership, effective communication, timely escalation, closure evidence and concise updates for governance forums and senior stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Understanding of third-party risk management, risk management frameworks, governance and control requirements.
- Experience in third-party, supplier, product, operations, governance or risk management roles, ideally within financial services.
- Knowledge of supplier relationship, supplier performance and service management, including incident and remediation coordination.
- Strong analytical, planning, prioritisation and reporting skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear management insight.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present concise messages and influence decisions at different levels.
- A collaborative, customer-focused approach, with the ability to build effective networks and deliver positive outcomes across a large-scale organisation.
