We’re one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with a network that covers more than 50 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.
We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our GCOO, Global Procurement team in the role of Third Party Management, Senior Manager.
You’ll play a key part in overseeing third-party management across a major banking entity, lead a distributed team and work with senior leaders across the organisation. You’ll have the scope to improve controls, simplify processes and deliver outcomes that are visible to both the business and regulators. If you enjoy influencing at senior level and turning complex supplier-risk requirements into workable solutions, this role offers plenty of runway.
As an HSBC employee in the UK, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.
In this role you will:
- Own and co-ordinate third-party management across the in-scope entities
- Act as the main point of contact for third-party matters, advising local and regional stakeholders and setting direction
- Lead and support the Relationship Manager team, including three team members
- Oversee third-party risk, due diligence, onboarding, contracts and performance management, ensuring activities align with the relevant TPM and TPRM frameworks
- Manage uplift and remediation activity, keeping actions on track and minimising overdue third-party management tasks
- Partner with Business Risk and Resilience, Second Line Risk and business functions to embed the Global TPRM Framework and support regulatory submissions and notifications
- Improve governance, reporting, training and processes, providing executive reporting and practical guidance while simplifying and standardising third-party management across the remit

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
