Job Description:
Third Party Risk Manager (Fixed Term)
Salary: From £56,000 + (Dependant on location and experience)
Location status: Hybrid Working - 2 days in the office
Location: Bupa Place, Manchester or Angel Court, London
Role Type: Fixed Term Contract - Until October 2027
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week

As a Third Party Risk Manager, you'll play an important role in helping us identify, assess and manage risks across our supplier landscape. Working within Procurement's Centre of Excellence, you'll help ensure that third-party risk is managed effectively, policies are followed and the business is prepared to respond to a changing regulatory environment.
This is an opportunity to work across multiple business areas, providing expert guidance on supplier risk, governance and compliance. You'll help drive continuous improvement, support decision-making and contribute to protecting Bupa, our customers and our reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of Procurement's third-party risk management approach and controls framework
- Support compliance with Procurement policies, supplier governance standards and outsourcing requirements
- Monitor and assess third-party risks, providing guidance and recommendations to stakeholders across the business
- Act as a subject matter expert for third-party risk management within Procurement
- Produce meaningful reporting and management information that provides insight into the supplier risk environment
- Support supplier risk monitoring, assurance activities and continuous evaluation of controls
- Work closely with category teams to provide advice, guidance and support throughout the supplier lifecycle
- Support audit activity, controls testing and risk reviews
- Contribute to incident management, risk reporting and governance activities
- Support governance committee submissions and help prepare materials for senior stakeholders
- Build strong relationships across Procurement and the wider business to promote effective risk management

What We're Looking For
- Experience in third-party risk management, supplier assurance, procurement risk or a similar role
- Strong understanding of supplier risk management frameworks, controls and governance processes
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements within a regulated environment, including FCA and PRA expectations
- Experience working with supplier assurance activities and risk management practices
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to analyse risk information and present clear recommendations
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and driving compliance
- Good understanding of supply chain processes and supplier management principles
- Customer-focused mindset with strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within a Procurement function
- Experience working with risk management systems and supplier governance tools
- Experience supporting governance committees and regulatory reporting activities
