About This Role
Thomas Eaton Primary Academy are seeking a Parent Member to join its Local Governing Body (LGB).
As a member of the LGB, you will help ensure that all pupils at the academy receive a high-quality education and make strong progress towards achieving their full potential. The role also involves considering whether the school’s resources are appropriate and used effectively.

Key Information
- The LGB meets three times per year, in the evening.
- Each LGB member is appointed for a four-year term.
- Training and support will be provided.
Eligibility
To be eligible as a Parent member the applicant must have a child at the school at the time of appointment. The member can continue until the end of their term once the child has left the school. The appointment of a Parent member will be terminated if the qualifying child is removed from the school.
