Threat Intelligence Analyst

Salary: £50,000.00 to £60,000.00
Location: York
Hybrid - On site 1 day a week.

A dynamic opportunity has arisen within the cyber security industry for a Threat Intelligence Analyst to join a forward-thinking team focused on identifying, understanding, and responding to emerging threats.

This role offers the chance to contribute to high-impact intelligence work that directly supports proactive security decision-making. The successful applicant will play a key part in strengthening visibility of risk, turning data into actionable insight, and helping the business stay ahead of evolving threat activity.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyse threat activity to identify relevant risks and emerging patterns.
  • Produce clear, actionable intelligence that supports informed security decisions.
  • Assess threat information and translate findings into concise reporting for stakeholders.
  • Support the broader security function by contributing to situational awareness and risk understanding.
  • Work collaboratively to help shape responses to active and developing threats.

Experience & Skills

  • Experience in threat intelligence, cyber security, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information accurately.
  • Knowledge of threat analysis methods and intelligence-led security practices.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working with detail, recognising patterns, and drawing practical conclusions from data.
  • Exposure to security operations, incident response, or similar environments would be advantageous.
